History

The Coaching Education Department was established within the School of Physical Education and Sports in 2003 and began admitting students in the 2003-2004 academic year.

The Coaching Education Department trains educators needed in the field of sports. Graduates of the department work as coaches and assistant coaches in the central and regional organizations of the General Directorate of Youth and Sports, in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, and in amateur and professional sports clubs. They can also work in private gyms and in the tourism sector, teaching and organizing sporting activities. The program includes theoretical courses and practical applications in sports sciences such as movement and training, sports health and psycho-social aspects of sports, and sports management.
