Our Mission

Under the light of training science, our mission is to contribute to understanding the importance of training science in academic and social life, to address the shortcomings in this field in our country, to create awareness about the need for trained personnel, and to be an institution that educates individuals who are committed to Atatürk's principles and revolutions, respectful of human rights, and research-oriented, all in the light of universal values.

Our Vision

To be a department that provides quality education and training, collaborates with sports clubs, federations, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of National Education, and municipalities, enables individuals to work in the field of coaching and find solutions to problems, produces research and publications that are recognized at national and international levels in its field, and guides the development of society.

Our Goals

1. To train sports educators who are beneficial to our country and humanity, possess high moral character and superior professional ethics, and have a strong scientific background and can utilize advanced technology,
2. To develop an innovative and progressive teaching staff,
3. To conduct high-quality research by following international developments in sports,
4. To cooperate with sports federations, relevant organizations, and sports clubs to enable our students to work in all areas of sports service,
5. To ensure the promotion of our university at national and international levels,
6. To support our national athletes who represent our country. Our Faculty maintains close relations and cooperation with similar educational institutions both domestically and internationally.

The Main Educational Objectives (PEA) of the Coaching Education Program:

The primary goal of the program is to train coaches, sports scientists, sports educators, and other sports professionals in line with the following objectives:

1. To train educators who are committed to Atatürk's reforms and principles, embrace the moral, human, spiritual, and cultural values ​​of society, respect democratic principles, human rights, and ethical principles, and possess a strong sense of duty and responsibility.

2. To train individuals who can effectively use Turkish and professional terminology, and who have socio-cultural competencies in areas outside their field.

3. To train sports educators who possess the knowledge and skills required by the profession, can solve problems that may arise specific to the field, and can plan, implement, research, observe, analyze, and evaluate, and interpret the results, while giving importance to scientific ethics and values.

4. To train coaches who continuously improve themselves, acquire the ability to work in a multidisciplinary manner, follow current technological approaches, are proficient in competition analysis, statistics, and evaluation, and can think analytically in this field.

5. To train sports scientists who possess fundamental knowledge about health problems and sports injuries that may be encountered in the field of sports, and who can apply basic first aid.

6. To train expert individuals who can develop necessary strategies and prepare exercise prescriptions to create a sports culture in all segments of society, introduce different sports branches, and expand participation in sports, with the aim of empowering future generations and protecting public health.

7. To train coaches who have high information literacy, an entrepreneurial and innovative character, as well as the ability to effectively use sports-specific facilities and equipment and who have knowledge in sustainability areas.

7. To train senior coaches who can prepare short, medium, and long-term training plans for the development of the technical, tactical, and performance of athletes of different ages, genders, and levels, who can apply field and laboratory tests, integrate these tests into training plans, and ensure their own development by following current approaches in these areas.

9. To train individuals who know the physical, physiological, and psychomotor development and needs of sedentary individuals of all ages and genders, as well as those participating in recreational exercise, and who can guide them towards their goals; To train coaches who possess the professional skills to conduct multifaceted developmental exercises in line with their goals.

10. To train coaches who have knowledge and experience in individual and team sports, possess the ability to lead athletes in these areas, and have the professional skills to train top-level athletes at national and international levels.

11. To train coaches who possess the knowledge, skills, experience, and communication abilities to cooperate with all stakeholders in sports at national and international levels and to organize events.
