Program Profile
The Coaching Education Department trains educators needed in the field of sports. The program includes theoretical courses and practical applications in sports sciences such as movement and training, sports health and psychosocial aspects in sports, and sports management.
Assessment and Evaluation
This program utilizes various assessment methods, including midterm exams, assignments, exercises, projects, practical applications, and final exams. Assessment methods may include standard exams, multiple-choice exams, assignments, performance evaluations, and product evaluations. A weighted overall grade point average of at least 2.00 is required to graduate from the program. A course grade is determined by evaluating the above elements and is given as a letter grade. Letter grades and their corresponding coefficients are listed below.
Graduation Requirements
Students must successfully complete all courses in the program and not receive any grades of FD, FF, DZ, or YZ. Students must obtain a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates of this program can work as coaches and assistant coaches in the central and regional organizations of the General Directorate of Youth and Sports, in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, and in amateur and professional sports clubs. They can also work in private gyms and in the tourism sector, teaching and organizing sporting activities.
